TRACY (KTLA) -- A food supplier based in Northern California is recalling 64,000 pounds pre-made chicken and pork dishes because of fears about listeria contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says.
According to the USDA, some broccoli in the dishes, made by Taylor Farms Pacific, was found to be contaminated with the bacteria during routine testing.
The items affected by the recall have the establishment number "P-34013" or "EST. 34013" in the USDA mark of inspection.
The products were shipped to stores in Arizona, California, Colorado and Wyoming.
They have "best if used by" dates from Feb. 7, 2011 to March 7, 2011.
The USDA hasn't received any reports of illnesses.
Listeria is a type of bacteria that can cause nausea, fever, muscle aches and diarrhea. It can be particularly dangerous for newborns, pregnant women and their fetuses and the elderly.
