Panama hotel really walks the planet-friendly talk
PANAMA CITY, Panama — It's easy to be skeptical about whether a hotel that claims to be "green" is really eco-friendly when you hang up your towel to reuse it and the maid replaces it. I was happy to discover that the Tantalo Hotel in Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Panama City, truly walks its talk. Not only does the maid let you reuse your towel, the hotel provides filtered tap water in a corked glass bottle rather than in a disposable plastic bottle.
