Recovering from Superstorm Sandy
More than a month after Superstorm Sandy slammed ashore in New Jersey, residents are still struggling to clean out flooded homes. The White House has asked Congress to approve $60 billion in aid to help New Jersey, New York and other coastal states recover. For now, it's a daily struggle for many homeowners just to save what they can.

Volunteers with the Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel help gut the Lavallette home of Diana Lamantia, 56, nearly six weeks after Superstorm Sandy. Lamantia lived in the home with her 80-year-old mother, and the two stayed in the home during the storm, watching the water rise to the first step of their staircase.
