
Members of the Poughkeepsie Fire Department were honored for their heroic actions in saving civilian lives over the past year. Firefighters were recognized for their efforts in responding to various life-threatening situations, including a stabbing victim, an unresponsive man, and stranded teenagers in a flooded creek. The firefighters’ quick actions and dedication to their profession were commended by Deputy Chief Vincent Parise during the awards ceremonies. Retiring firefighters were also recognized for their service to the City of Poughkeepsie, with State Senator Rob Rolison presenting certificates in honor of their accomplishments.
