In this episode of the March Forth campaign from Mid-West Family Marketing and Media, we spotlight the impactful work being done by the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County.
Executive Director Christina McGovern joins us to share how YSB provides immediate safety, support, and resources for teens and young adults experiencing homelessness. Through six programs and a new 22,000-square-foot facility, YSB is expanding its ability to serve vulnerable youth and families throughout the community. From their teen drop-in center to family support services, the organization is helping young people find stability, connection, and hope during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Christina also discusses the often unseen reality of teen homelessness in St. Joseph County, where an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 young people between the ages of 13 and 18 experience homelessness each year. Through strong community support and dedicated staff, YSB is providing a safe place where teens can access food, showers, counseling, and critical resources that help them move forward.
