Anika Currie, an employee with Horizon Health, saved an 88-year-old woman whose vehicle went into the water at Twin Lakes Park. Currie, along with her friends, jumped into the water and pulled the woman from her sinking car. Horizon Health’s EMS Manager stated that the woman likely wouldn’t have survived without Currie’s intervention. In recognition of her heroic act, Currie was presented with the High-5 PRIDE Award by Horizon Health. Currie humbly stated that she doesn’t feel like a hero, but is just glad the woman is okay.a
