Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend will remain open through Nov. 24 due to warmer weather and new arrivals, including a baby giraffe born on Oct. 13. The decision to extend the season was influenced by the milder forecast and the opportunity for visitors to see the zoo in November. While the baby giraffe requires temperatures above 60 degrees to go outside, many animals are more active in cooler weather.
