The annual charity golf tournament at Ute Creek Golf Course in Longmont, Colorado, organized by the owners of Santiago’s restaurant, has raised over $3 million for various nonprofits since 2004. This year, the event raised $450,000 for the Anchor Center for Blind Children. The organizers, Rachel and Shawn Wells, attribute the success of the tournament to the support of their customers and participants, whom they consider family. Denver7 and West Shore Home recognized Rachel and Shawn Wells as this week’s Everyday Heroes for their dedication to giving back to the community.
