In Bonfield, Ontario, a golden retriever-husky mix named Bear saved his owner’s life during a severe heart attack by providing a form of “CPR” with instinctual actions. Darren Cropper’s wife, Janice, was alerted by Bear and found her husband unconscious on the floor, leading to a life-saving emergency triple bypass surgery. Bear’s heroic actions were recognized as he was inducted into the 2024 Purina Animal Hall of Fame for his life-saving instincts, bringing tears of gratitude to Darren upon their reunion.
