Most roads across Michiana remain slushy, but passable this morning, despite steady lake effect snow. The exception is under some of the heavier bands of snow in central Berrien and Cass Counties, where snow continues to build up. It’s a slow morning on the roads, but if you’re careful, you can get where you need to go.

It’s been clear it would happen for some time, but now it’s official: Republicans will have a majority in the House of Representatives next year. The GOP is now projected to win more than 218 seats in the 435 member house, with the power to block any parts of President Biden’s agenda they choose to. Democrats will still control the Senate, allowing them to continue confirming judges and other Biden appointees.

The Tennessee Attorney General is opening an antitrust investigation into Ticketmaster. The investigation launched after thousands of customers reported issues with the site while trying to buy seats for Taylor Swift’s upcoming world tour. Some who did get tickets are offering them for resale for as much as 35 thousand dollars each. The AG in Tennessee says he wants to be sure consumer protection and anti-trust laws are being honored.

Notre Dame basketball posted two wins Wednesday night. The men downed Southern Indiana at Purcell Pavilion 82-to-70, and the 9th ranked women dominated at Northwestern 92-to-58. 20th ranked Michigan downed Pitt 91-60.

NBA: the Chicago Bulls lost at New Orleans, 124-110. The Indiana Pacers won at home, 125-113 over Charlotte. The Detroit Pistons are in LA against the Clippers late tonight.

Hockey: St. Louis beat the Blackhawks in Chicago, 5-to-2. The Detroit Redwings are at San Jose late tonight.

The Thursday night NFL game this week is Tennessee at Green Bay, at 8:15 tonight.
