The South Bend International Airport is planning a multi-million-dollar expansion to enhance the travel experience for passengers. The project includes the construction of separate lanes for taxis and buses, as well as for pick-up and drop-off, to improve efficiency and aesthetics. The expansion aims to provide better protection for travelers during inclement weather and is expected to cost around $14 million, funded by airport revenue sources. Construction is set to begin in the summer of 2022 and be completed by 2026.
