The 32nd NALC Stamp out Hunger food drive is taking place on May 10th, with letter carriers in over 10,000 communities collecting food donations to restock food banks and pantries. In 2024, 47.4 million people were food insecure according to the USDA. Residents can participate by leaving non-perishable food items by their mailboxes for collection. The goal is to collect 100,000 pounds of food to help those in need. Glass jars are not accepted, and pop top lids are preferred.
